One of My Favorites
I know that was sort of like what the person below me wrote, but its true. Such a great and catchy song. Also, the Mario references were a nice treat.

Wow
What powerful vocals and emotion, something that other songs and artists lack, the guitar worked quite well. Overall it's a masterpiece.

It sounds like like it could be used in a Metroid game and not be out of place.
Great Work ! . . . But
I don't mean to sound stupid or annoying, but how do you make these pieces of music.
hmmm, it's a long process to be honest. Composers tackle songs in two primary ways, they will either build chords first, the foundation before they build a melody, or build the melody and the foundation later. In my eyes both ways has it's strengths and weaknesses. For example in this case I built the melody first.
The chord way in my opinion allows you to make a piece that flows better as it all blends together easier, but as a consequence the song becomes a tad lame, sometimes losing it's power, it also has little room to pick up and start jumping around. I might be wrong but I always find making an action track much more difficult if I make the chords first.
The great musician who said this eludes me now, but he said "To orchestrate is to create, and this cannot be taught, but the art of orchestration can."
I can't tell you how I compose my art, only how I compose my music :)
